Summer Calendar

Summer is here and we have a lot happening on our Summer Calendar!  Tomorrow we leave for a service trip to Tampa, FL. Suffering for the Kingdom…I know right!  In all seriousness though, there will be lots of service going on, and lots of opportunities for our students and adults alike to be stretched.  Pray for us as we go.  We'll be back next Friday.  I'm going to try and publish a picture or two and an entry every day for you to keep up!

Just for Parents

-The Center for Parent and Youth Understanding exists to "understand culture to impact culture." They have youth trends linked as well as articles and a suggested reading list.

News from the World of Youth Culture is a page under the CPYU (linked above) and has new articles linked everyday about teens and the world in which they live.

-Focus on the Family
is also a very respected resource that has many helpful hints and suggestions for raising your family.

-In addition to these, it never hurts to read what they're reading, and watch what they're watching. That way, as their parent, you can guide them as they process how to think and respond to all the messages being thrown at them.

On a personal note, thanks for all you do in the life of teenagers. Although it is difficult, stressful, and confusing at times, keep it up. God has given you a tremendous opportunity and He will get you through it!
